HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUM!!

Yup its official. Mum is old. She is about to hit a nice big round number in 50!! Officially at the top of the hill, and the only way is down. So of course it is a great excuse for the family to come together and have a drink or twenty in celebration. I was real glad that Tammie and I could make it back to be apart of it all, plus we were able to bring them some duty free :) Party was great - lots of food - and all the rumours were true, Andrew can actually cook. Who knew.
Unfortunately it turns out we are quite stupid and forgot to take our camera to the party - so anyone who was there, send some to me so I can put them on the blog!
Tammie and I stayed for about another week just to spend time with the fam - aren't we nice :p We remembered to take our camera when we did a small road trip around the Canterbury region, including Mt Cook.

Mt Cook is up there somewhere

Muffy (the dog) was a little upset that we were going - she has the saddest eyes when she wants too :'(

We're Baaack!

If this is Thursday this must be Australia. Yup its official, Tammie and I are back. I know this is monumental news but control your excitement. We are back for good (or until we decide to go work overseas again - continental Europe would be cool). We know have to find jobs, but first of all we actually have to fly again and go to NZ for my Mum's 50th birthday. Must get some sleep.

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Well we are on our way from the UK. We weren't sure whether this one should be put on our old blog or the new one, but we really need to add stuff to the new one. So our first real blog will be our short stoppover in KL. We were kind of in a hurry to get back to the Australia and NZ as it was my Mum's 50th birthday on the coming weekend and I did sort of promise that we would be there. This meant that we only had 2 days and 1 night in Kuala Lumpur. As it would happen we actually have friends there, Tammie had a friend from university and I had a friend whom I met whilst working in Prague! Prague Bill was a local so he was able to take us to the cool clubs and more authentic type restaurants. He also works in the Petronas Towers and tried to take us up at night time so we could enjoy the views but the security on the day just wouldn't allow it. Oh well maybe next time.

We both go well in custard

Now that we have finally managed to get rid of Phoebe, we have decided to start a separate blog. As I found out only recently, apparently I am an egg (white on the outside and yellow in the middle - or an asian in white guy clothes) and Tammie is apparently the opposite and therefore a banana. Anyway hence the name of our new blog. Hopefully we will actually post stuff since we are now not travelling - as much.
